LCSW, MSW, M.Ed., JD.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with Masters Degrees in Social Work and Education. Being a former Divorce and Custody attorney,
I understand the process of divorce and can help you and your clients.
To effectively help with their cases, many divorce clients
need to learn how to stay focused and cooperative. Here, my background and experience can help. It includes being lead
outpatient clinician, Director of Children's Services, and Outpatient Clinical Director and Supervisor at Jewish Family Service in
Margate, NJ until 2003. It also includes running a private outpatient practice that helps divorcing families and running a forensic
consulting practice that is often involved with school litigation, special education matters, and child welfare cases. Here,
my master's degree in special education plus my knowledge of law and social work plays a major role. Overall, the thousands
of hours I've logged in law and clinical social work give me the real-life insights needed to help you and your clients.
I have
offered counseling to children and families that are going through divorce for over 20 years. At this juncture I am building
a referral network of attorneys in Southern New Jersey who will refer clients for counseling to help them manage the emotional components
of their divorce and its impact on their children.
I can help your clients alleviate their anxiety, calm their fears, and better
understand how to work effectively with you and your staff. This saves you time and grief and gives your clients a more positive,
realistic outlook.
- I show parents ways to keep their children out of the middle of their conflicts with each other.
- I
teach parents how to create and implement a future focused mindset that will keep them centered on the emotional health of their children
and themselves throughout the divorce process and beyond.
- I help them find ways to maintain a sense of family and stability with their
children. I teach children how to accept the end of their parent's marriage and still have hope for themselves, their needs,
and their family.
If you believe I can help you, want a copy of my curriculum vitae, or would like a free consultation with me
at your office, please call me at (609) 748-1820 or
email me at
iak@ikeiner.com. On my vitae you will find that I've been
heavily involved in custody proceedings, have counseled hundreds of children caught in parental wars, and have run many educational
programs for parents in crisis, including the syndicated program, "Children Cope With Divorce."
* I am now retired
from the practice of law in New Jersey and on inactive status in Pennsylvania. I practiced all aspects of matrimonial law.
