Trainings and Workshops:
- Ethics
- Risk Management
- Boundaries
The State of New Jersey, Board of Social Work Examiners requires social workers
with any credential to receive 5 hours of continuing education credits in Ethics during every biennial period. Social Work ethics
include, but are not limited to topics in boundary relationships, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, dual relationships, HIPPA
adherence, and recordkeeping.
I am an Attorney, licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1985. I am retired from
the practice of law in New Jersey and inactive in Pennsylvania.
I am an LCSW currently in private clinical and forensic practice.
I worked for a local social service agency from 1993 to 2003. For the last five years of Agency employment I was both the Outpatient
Clinical Director and Supervisor and the Director of Children's Services.
My professional background and experience uniquely
qualifies me to provide training in Risk Management, Boundaries with clients, Boundaries in Supervisory relationships, and Ethics.
I offer full day and two day trainings on these issues. One full day training meets the social work licensing requirement for
Ethics in the State of New Jersey.
For the past 10 years I have trained youth camp counsellors and directors, social service
agency employees, case management program social workers, and behavioral health facility employees to be mindful of activities that
give rise to malpractice lawsuits, ethics violations, and boundary conflicts.
My presentation style is dynamic, interactive,
and upbeat. I engage audiences and encourage active participation. I believe that the participants will define the value of
the presentation as they offer questions and scenarios that are relevant to their practice and their workplace culture.
